Follow the One-Third Rule

Never remove more than one-third of the grass in a single mowing. For example, at a maintained height of around 4 inches, don’t let the lawn grow much beyond 6 inches before mowing. Staying within the one-third rule keeps the lawn healthier, helps it recover faster after mowing, and maintains a consistent dark green appearance.
